Week 2 Day 2

Hunger Pangs

I woke up at 5.30 this morning feeling very hungry, I realise I didn't have enough to eat last night, and will have to remember to make more pasta next time. I drank my cup of tea in bed, but was determined not to give into my hunger pangs. For a while I did actually have cramps in my stomach, but eventually it all faded, and I was able to wait and have breakfast at the normal time.

Breakfast

bowl of porridge and cup of tea
Breakfast was the usual porridge and tea.

Porridge = 8p.
Sugar = 1p.
Total 9p.

Lunch

Hummus
Garlic bread
Tea
For lunch I had hummus and a garlic bread, unfortunately the photo hasn't turned out. The yogurt worked a treat, but I decided to put a little salt on the top of the bread and over did the salt, so the bread was a bit salty. Eric shared my lunch, so I shall total up and add his share into my food allowance, so I shall have a little extra, call it enterprise.

chick peas = 10p.
yogurt = 11p approx.
spices = 6p. approx
total = 27p
Total 1 portion = approx.14p
Flour = 14p
Yogurt = 10p
total 24p
Total 1 portion = 12p.
Total = 26p.

Dinner

Vegetable pizza and a cup of tea
Vegetable pizza
Cup of tea
This morning I made three portions of the bread mixture and used the last portion as a pizza base. Thanks to Eric I had some extra money to spend, and I spent £1.02 on fresh veg, so I now have 24p. remaining. The bread proved to be a lot more substantial than the nasty cheap bread from last week, and I could only eat half a pizza, so I shall have the rest for lunch tomorrow.

Pizza base =12p.
Pasta sauce = 12p.
Courgette = approx 6p.
Pepper = 14p
Mushrooms approx. 5p.
Cheese = 11p.
Total = 60p./2 = 30p.

Total = 30p.

Tea and milk = 5p.
Total = 5p.

Total expenditure today =70p.

Today I think I have had my 5 a day, I presume I have had the carbs. my body needs because  I have been to the gym and been for an evening walk in the park, and I still could only eat half my dinner, and my energy levels are still high.
